..........................................CD AXE - LIVE 1969..........................................LP AXE - Live 1969 front & backThere is also exist a 45 single from 1972 from a band called AXE . This track "People Come, People Go" appears at the compilation "A Visit to the Spaceship Factory" . The notes said...

"AXE: People Come, People Go MCA MKS5094. 1972
A little known one-off single from this obscure band. There was a band, featuring guitarist Mark Griffiths (Harsh Reality, Matthews Southern Comfort) called Axe operating Northampton around this time, who made an acetate-only album. However, it is unclear whether this is them or another band with the same name. "

kissing Spell realised the lp Middle Earth & Axe , supposed the same group (from 1974 demo)

Complicated story ,Complicated Issues...........
I hope to help you

  2. Some further complications courtesy of Galactic Ramble. The band were also known as Crystalline and the acetate has never been released in it's virgin form as effects etc have been added.Rumour has it that the live track 'Here To There' is not by the band at all.'Live 69' is actually taken from a 1970 show!

  3. ANONYMOUS THANKS FOR THE COMMENT.
I know very well that, some things even the groups/bands/artists know very well , after decades!! I have also some more informations, but how can I prove them??? Is it true that, exist 12 acetates & 6 promo lp's ?? Is it true that, the song (and many more)"WHITE RABBIT" exist?? Who knows?? Anyway, it's a shame that, never realeased a good issue for this group.

  4. Thanks for your great work on AXE.Thanks also to the Kissing Spell label for issues of so rare great bands of the beginning of the seventies;Dark,Wicked Lady...and also the work on psyche folk.I don't know how many people have seen the original albums but if the label haven't issued the music in the nineties I don't think if we could have possibility to listen to it today.

  15. If anyone would like to know the history of this band I recommend the interview with Tony Barford (Guitarist) which he gave to the magazine "Psychedelic Bay" in 2012. It can be found here: http://psychedelicbaby.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/axecrystalline-interview-with-tony.html
