MILWAUKEE IRON - S/T (aka woman with chopper)

Rare. From 1978 USA.
There are too many wishlists, include this lp (called also "the woman with the chopper")and this is the first time that appears in the net . In my oppinion, NOT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED RECORD, but very intresting and plesant. Acid Archives is very poor on informations .

The only informations I have, is from back cover. No insert included (at least at my copie). So, the line up is....

Rogene ??, vocals
Peter Morin, lead Guitar vocals
John Bushnell , rhythm Guitar vocals
Greg Daniel , bass vocals
Isaac Becerra , drums

Track List
1 Get Down Biker Music
2 Turn Me Over, Don't Turn Me Out
3 Joe Henry's Bar
4 If I've Ever Seen A Biker He Is 1
5 On The Water Front
6 Is That A Crime
7 Cheezy Rider
8 Running Away From Yesterday
9 Shovel Man
10 Harley Song
11 Jerk Me Off
12 Get Down Fade Out

8 tracks are written & sung by Rogene .Who's this girl ,maybe the woman on cover??
I can't find anything about Rogene and the other members.

Musicaly it's like Charles Daniel Band (without Charle Daniel but with Rogene).
I rate it 3stars at 5.
I Like 3 songs
" If I've Ever Seen A Biker He Is 1",
"Shovel Man"
& "On The Water Front".
I like also the girl & the chopper.
If I may, choose the chopper.
I can find another girl ,I can't find the chopper!

  14. Okay all,

Rogene's last name is Rush, or atleast it was in 1994 when I last spoke to her. She is my aunt. This record is ultra rare in part due to the orignial recording was stolen, and she never redone them. Also, She is pictured on the from with her bike. The record is all about things that happend in her life. Joe Henry's Bar was a place she use to frequent. I have the pleasure to have 3 signed copies of this album. 2 are still in the plastic never been opened.

  15. another little known fact. Rogene Rush also played with a 12 string guitar. She moved from California to Texas in 1994, this was also the last time that I talked with her. I miss her.

  16. The woman on the album is my aunt, Rogene Rush. All the original tapes that were used to make the lp were stollen, so all the records that were originaly made, 500 or so, will be all that will ever be made. The cover art was taken with Rogene and her chopper over looking Pisbo Beach (shell beach) in southern California. She also played a 12 string gutar.

    5. OMG!!! I've searched for this EXACT music since 1986!!!!!!!!! My friend Sherre, from Lewiston, ID gave me this cassette on my first trip from Florida to Idaho to see my bros.Unfortunately, my car stereo ate it a few months later and I have searched biker mags, music sites ,literally 100's of misc. web sites, & asked I don't know how many people if they knew who you were or where to get another copy.

Please let me thank you and then explain why your music will always be close to my heart. It was 1985, I was 22, and on my first trip away from my Florida home. I fell in love with the NW United States on that vacation and your music along with Shel Silverstein's "Great Conch Train Robbery" album is the soundtrack I hear when I go back and visit those wonderful memories. Whether it's a memory of my first Harley ride in the mountains, or recalling a funny story about the friends that were there, but are now gone and can't take a "ride" down that proverbial memory lane with me, I still smile when I think about your songs. I've searched so long for you that this collection is what I lovingly call the bane of my "Obscure Music Bucket List" for a few years now! Here I am over 28 years later, living in WA. since 1992 because of that vacation!!! Thank you for unwittingly becoming a permanent part of my history!

I am hoping that I'm not getting my hopes up for nothing....please tell me that someone has dug one of those unsealed CD's out of the back of their antique archival and made copies to sell ?

Also, if anyone who reads this has a lead on this CD, PLEASE email me with details. Thanks again for playing all that "Get Down Biker Music" that did indeed get down in my soul. ~~~MEL~~~
