CCLP-1035-Jesse Lankford: We’ll Take Our Last Walk Tonight LP (1978)
This is the first lp on Crazy Cajun Records . The second is also here in this blog
I want to clear that, Crazy Cajun is a tax spam label !! Lankford's lp's recorded at early 7o's ,finaly realised at 1978 from Crazy Cajun . I love both lp's, with a little bit more , this one!!!!!

I can't believe I've actually found something about my old friend and classmate Jesse Lankford. We went to school together in Pasadena Texas from the 7th grade on in the 1950s. Even then he was attracting attention as a great singer and entertainer.
ReplyDeleteYou say Crazy Cajun was a "tax spam" label? Do you mean "tax scam"? If you mean it was a scam you are wrong. Crazy Cajun was a legitimate label owned by the late Huey P. Meaux, who had his own recording studio in Houston. BJ Thomas, Freddy Fender, the Sir Douglas Quintet, and Doug Sahm were just a few of the artists he discovered and recorded.
Old Huey P. Meaux was as crazy as the day is long and he even did time in prison for drugs and sex crimes. Google his name and you'll see what I mean. He died in 2011.
Yes I mean "tax scam" and info taken from "Fuzz Acid & Flowers" book by "Vernon Joynson's.
DeleteThanks in advance for your comment .
Mike
